Dr. Levin's Phi Dental Grid Software

Dr. Levin's Phi Dental Grid (PhiDental), developed by PhiMatrix, is a software implementation of Dr. Eddy Levin's principles of the application of the golden section to dental aesthetics.  This allows practitioners to apply Dr. Levin's concepts to digital photographs, which are quickly gaining popularity as the medium of choice for documentation, analysis and design in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.
 

PhiDental provides a variety of options to include optimal proportions which look both natural and beautiful:

• Between teeth, from central incisor to first premolar.(see diagram above)
  
• Shows optimum size of the neutral buccal corridor
  
• Optimal aesthetic position for incisal edge and for gingival margin
  
• Shows the most attractive proportion between width and length of Central incisors
  
• Compares left and right
  
• Takes digital photographs at any stage.
  
• Relates horizontal levels of incisal and gingival margins to lips, nose, eyes, chin and head.
  
• Can vary the grid line color and width. 
  
• Can display a simple Golden Rectangle overlay demonstrating height to width relationship of incisors
  
• Golden Rectangle analyses in portrait or landscape orientation. 
  
• It saves the analyzed image in BMP, JPG and GIF formats.

System Requirements

Dr. Levin's Phi Dental Grid (Phi Dental) requires Windows 2000, XP and higher. It is NOT compatible with Windows 95, 98 or ME.
